Chiana Coronis's second solo exhibition is inspired by the eclectic & hip jazziness of Miami - a mix of 80’s neon lights, palm trees and beach life combined with the deep cultural history from the 1920-30's glam art deco scene, marked by its characteristic bright colours from pastel blues and pinks to bright oranges, vibrant yellows, greens and more.
Using only her iPhone and a few playful applications she captures the unique instant vibe of Miami : old fashioned diners, trashy replicas of high end brands, art deco historic buildings, exotic palm trees and long beaches. With a mix technique of photo applications and “layering”, she unifies different photographs so that they express different aspects and scenes, perfectly suited to this colourful, vivacious and visual place that Miami is for her.
